Grants for Clean Energy Jobs Training

The Clean Energy Jobs Training Program is giving grants to businesses and nonprofits with a history or providing career services to participants within the identified underserved communities of Newark, Paterson, Elizabeth, New Brunswick, Trenton, and Camden. Grantees must provide workforce readiness, financial literacy, and other soft-skills training to a minimum of 50 participants. Ultimately the participants should be able to matriculate from training to jobs with Public Service Enterprise Group's PSE&G contracted suppliers and employers. Applicants must have a valid Business Registration Certificate on file with the Division of Revenue, grants are range from $75,000 to $166,500
The Program helps build a workforce with the skills to implement energy efficiency projects across PSE&G service areas and to target the state’s underserved urban communities. The $1 million grant was developed in response to the New Jersey Clean Energy Act of 2018. The goal is to recruit, train, and employ 2,000+ residents over the next three years.
This Program is run by the NJ Department of Labor.
